Sippican Choral Society to begin fall season rehearsals
MARION — Do you sing along when a familiar song comes on the car radio? Find it hard to resist belting out tunes while listening to playlists during walks and runs?
If so, sing with the Sippican Choral Society, which is holding its first rehearsal Monday, Sept. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Wickenden Chapel at Tabor Academy, 86 Spring St.
“Did you know that choral singing is beneficial to your health and longevity?” a release from Sippican Choral Society said.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., so come to the rehearsal “early to greet fellow singers, register, and pick up your music packet,” the release said.
Dues are $40 and payable by cash or check no later than the third rehearsal.
Those interested are encouraged to bring friends too. Membership in the non-audition chorus is open to singers of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and communities.
Sippican Choral Society’s annual winter concert will be Saturday, Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. at Wickenden Chapel. It “will feature songs of peace and hope from diverse cultures,” the release said.
