The Sippican Choral Society is looking for new members to help ring in the Christmas 2016 season.

Lead by Dr. Tianxu Zhou, this group of local singers is accompanied by Michelle Gordon and an orchestra.

The Sippican Choral Society is a volunteer organization and does not require auditioning; however, there is a select Chamber Chorus which requires an audition. There is a $35 membership fee.

Rehearsals start on Monday, Sept. 12, at 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Mattapoisett Congregational Church’s Reynard Hall.

The Christmas concert will be presented on Dec. 2 at St. Lawrence Church, New Bedford, and Dec. 4 at Wickenden Chapel, Marion.
