Sippican Lands Trust free summer events
Summer isn't over yet and the Sippican Lands Trust's free event series continue this month with storywalks young readers and guided tours of properties.
Storywalks are books displayed page by page and are a way to promote literacy and family time outside. The following books will be on displayed at the following locations: July 15 to Aug. 14 at Osprey Marsh off of Point Road, “Giraffes Can’t Dance” by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker-Lees; and Aug. 15 to Sept. 14 at Radio Tower off of Benson Brook Road (be sure to watch town dump hours of operation so as not to get locked in.), “Tracks, Scats and Signs” by Leslie Dendy.
Each month Yelena Sheynin, head steward, will offer a guided tour of Lands Trust properties. The schedule and locations are as follows: Saturday, Aug. 20 (raindate Aug. 21) at 10 a.m. at Hagemann Woods off of Point Road and Saturday, Sept. 10 (July 11) at 10 a.m. at Radio Tower off of Benson Brook Road.
