Sippican Lands Trust still has spots in Junior Board Program

Sep 14, 2016

The Sippican Lands Trust still has spots available for its Junior Board Program for third to eighth grade Marion students. Started in 2014, the Junior Board is a group that seeks to increase environmental awareness and involvement among peers. They aim to share the SLT mission, to host events and to participate in activities on properties owned by the Trust.

The Junior Board meets on the third Wednesday, ten months of the year, September to October and January to August. Meetings are held either on the trails or in the SLT office. Activities include the preparation and participation in the annual Halloween, Easter egg and July 4th events, snowshoeing, bird watching and assistance and participation in Sippican Lands Trust events throughout the year.

Send applications ASAP to the Sippican Lands Trust office at 354 Front St., Marion. Forms are available at www.sippicanlandstrust.org, at the SLT office, at the library and at Uncle Jon’s. The first meeting is at 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

There is a $25 membership fee. Attach a check made out to the Sippican Lands Trust.
