Songs, Santa greet revelers at Rochester's tree lighting

With the Rochester Memorial School band and chorus providing the music and cookies served courtesy of The Artisan Bake Shop, there was plenty for residents to enjoy at the annual start of the Christmas season in town.
Approximately 300 gathered on Dec. 8 to witness the lighting of the Town Hall Christmas tree on the town common. Following the lighting, chorus and band members sang carols until Santa arrived inside a Rochester fire engine to hand out candy canes.
