MARION — Stay safe on the water this summer with a boating safety course hosted by the Marion Harbormaster’s Office in April and May. 

The classes are held at the Marion Police Station. One eight hour Saturday course and one four hour Sunday course is required to complete the training. 

Classes will be held in April on Saturday, April 22 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 23 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Classes will be held in May on Saturday, May 20 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 21 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Each class will have a 30 minute lunch break. Participants will need to provide their own lunch.

Only people 12 and older can sign up for this course.
