Storytime at Plumb Library
Fall storytime at Plumb Library starts Oct. 6 and ends Nov. 17. The winter session will start in January after the holiday season.
Storytimes are once a week and are free thanks to the Friends of Plumb Library.
All programs consist of an interactive mix of stories, finger plays, action rhymes, puppets, music, crafts, snacks and free play, along with other fun surprises.
Children's librarian Lisa Fuller bases her program on the Every Child Ready to Read program, which focuses on the five skills children need to help them learn to read: Singing, talking, reading, playing and writing.
Registration is required for each session and Rochester residents are given first preference to available slots.
The schedule is as follows:
Plumb Pie for ages 3 to 5 takes place Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Onesie Twosie Tales for pre-toddlers is also on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. and is for 9 months to 2-year-old. This is a lapsit program.
Twosie Tales for Toddlers is on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. and is for ages 2 to 3. This is a partial lapsit program. Note: This program is currently full.
If there is enough demand and registrations, there will be a Saturday storytime twice a month for ages 1 to 5.
