Summer fun at Mattapoisett Library
MATTAPOISETT — Join the Mattapoisett Library for events and festivities throughout the summer.
Starting on Tuesday, June 27, “Craft Tuesday” returns. Stop by every Tuesday to create a simple craft. The first crafts include fruity pencil holders, fruit bookmarks, and puzzle piece friendship keychains. No registration required and recommended for ages 10 and up.
On Saturday, July 1st at 2 p.m., create tie dye on the library lawn. Participants must bring their own cotton or all natural fiber clothing, cloth, bags, or any other fabric to tie dye. All other supplies will be provided along with instructions for a variety of designs. Patrons will be limited to two dye projects dependent on size and material thickness to ensure enough supplies for everyone. Recommended for ages 10 to adult. Registration is required.
On Tuesday, July 11th at 6 p.m., teens can learn drama improv. This improvisation workshop is designed to challenge and inspire students to stretch their brains and limits. This class is for both the seasoned performer and those new to the world of theatre. For ages 12 and up. Registration is required.
