Swap meet, tractor pull, metal recycling at Rochester Fairgrounds April 28

On April 28, Rochester Fairgrounds, located at 65 Pine Street, will be the site of the New England Antique Tractor and Truck Association swap meet and tractor pull.

There will be machinery, trucks, antiques and collectibles at the swap meet. In addition to the antique tractor and garden tractor pulls, the event will have kid’s games and crafts, a people’s choice awards for best of show, most original, and overall favorite.

For admittance, please bring a cash or food donation for Shepherd's Food Pantry.

The Rochester Country Fair will also host a metal recycling fundraiser. Unwanted ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including scrap metal items and car batteries. Please drain all engines of fluid prior to delivery.

Acceptable items include: Scrap metal, washers and dryers, grills (without propane tanks, cast iron, hot water heaters, copper, engines, rims (without tires), aluminum, mixed steel items, transmissions, metal gutters, drums and rotors, farm equipment, stainless steel, axles, radiators, and insulated wire.

Items collected will help support the Rochester Country Fair committee to make improvements to the fairgrounds and bring new events to the fair this fall.
