Women Sharing Words: a women’s writing group

Once a month, typically the fourth Friday of the month, women are invited to bring their writing, or something that has inspired them, to the Elizabeth Taber Library to read and discuss. Due to the upcoming holidays, we will be meeting Nov. 18 and Dec. 16.

Plans for the New Year are to have a special event with refreshments and a movie. We would like it to feature mothers dialoging with their daughters about the advances women have made as a result of the Second Wave of the Women’s Liberation Movement.

The Children’s Room

Please bring in an extra pair of gloves or mittens that we will collect to give to a local homeless shelter.

And while you’re here, stay for our Mitten Puppet Craft! Create a crazy creature out of a spare glove or mitten! Put on a puppet show with your friends afterwards! Join the fun on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 3 p.m.
