Taber Library to host series of events
MARION — A series of events will be held soon at the Elizabeth Taber Library, 8 Spring St.
The seed library is open. Seeds are available to check out for free from the library; a variety of herbs and flowers available along with books on plants and gardening.
A leprechaun hunt will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 11. Participants will follow the clues around the library to find the hidden leprechaun and his pot of gold.
A memoir workshop will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday March 17, April 21 and May 19.
Participants will learn how to preserve their life’s memories with this free course. To register, or for more information contact the Elizabeth Taber Library at 508-748-1252.
A glass art class with Deenie Pacik will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 7. Those attending can create fused glass pendants or magnets with colorful pre-cut glass. Spaces are limited- call to sign up at the library. All ages are invited but participants ages 9-12 must have adult supervision to participate.
Portraits in silhouette will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16. Participants will sit for a live, hand-cut portrait in about five minutes. The paper artists from Portraits in Silhouette are visiting the library to demonstrate their skills. Spaces are limited. Call to sign up at the library.
