The Elizabeth Taber Library reopened on Friday morning in Marion just four days after a ceiling collapse in the Natural History Museum shut the building down due to safety concerns.
The unexpected collapse happened on Monday, July 23, in the museum, located on the second floor of the library.
No one was injured in during the incident, but the building was closed off while a clean-up team removed the debris left by the 50' by 50' ceiling.
On Tuesday, Town Administrator Paul Dawson said that town officials are still investigating the reason behind the collapse, but that there is no danger of further damage to the library.
“We are not concerned at all about any further collapse into the library area,” he said.
