Tabor Academy presents holiday carols

Nov 22, 2016

On Sunday, Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. the Tabor Academy choirs and student and faculty readers will present their annual Festival of Lessons and Carols in Wickenden Chapel.

The six choral ensembles will lead the congregation in seasonal carols and will perform choruses, recitatives and arias from Handel’s Messiah. The choirs will also sing choral arrangements from Pentatonix, Chanticleer and David Horne, culminating in Handel’s Hallelujah. The congregation is invited to join in the singing of the Hallelujah chorus and copies of the lyrics will be made available at the door.

This will follow the Marion Stroll, which starts at 3 p.m. and is hosted by the Marion Business Association. The Wickenden Chapel, located at 81 Spring St., will be open at 7 p.m. Admission is free to the public. For those unable to attend, the event will also be livestreamed on Tabor Academy’s Facebook page.
