Tabor Academy's girls varsity basketball team ended their run in the New England Prep School Tournament on Saturday, March 3 with a loss to Noble and Greenough School.

Tabor's Seawolves fell to the Bulldogs, 58-44 in the semi-final round of the tournament.

The girls defeated Thayer Academy 72-40 on February 29 allowing them to advance to the semi-finals of the prep school basketball tournament.

Girls varsity coach Will Becker said the team saw double-figure scores from multiple players.

“They’ve done a great job,” Becker said. “We have sophomores who have all grown tremendously. We’ve really gelled as a team.”

The team’s ability to handle defensive pressure has always been their strong suit Becker said.

“Our defensive pressure causes the girls to turn the ball over several times and that’s what happened in the tournament,” Becker said. “It was a solid effort all around with great offense, shooting and defense.”
