MARION — The Sippican Woman’s Club’s meeting on Friday, March 8 will feature a presentation about entertainment of the last 20 years of the 19th century, specifically regarding how families and friends would spend time in parlors of homes together for fun.

The presentation will be given by Wareham residents Mack and Cathy Phinney.

According to a Sippican Woman’s Club press release, Mack and Cathy are docents for the Rochester Historical Society and have presented history programs to Sippican Elementary School students.

The meeting will be held at 152 Front St. in Marion. “Social time” will begin at 12:15 p.m., followed by a business meeting at 1 p.m. and the presentation at 1:30 p.m.

Finger foods will be available for attendees.

Membership is open to anyone whose interests are in the Town of Marion and guests are always welcome.
