Kids who love outrageous and silly stories are invited to attend the tall tale workshop on Thursday, February 21.

The event is open to children in grades two to four and is being sponsored by the Mattapoisett Library and the Mattapoisett Historical Society.

Kids will learn what makes a good tall tale and listen to classic American tall tales before writing and illustrating their own. The stories will be bound into a book that will be in the children’s section of the library.

The workshop runs from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the children’s section of the library, and is limited to 10 children. Registration is required. Call 508-758-4171 to register.
