Friday, Sept. 27
Try food and wine.

Southcoast YMCA will host its Toast of the Coast fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. The Marion Music Hall event will feature food from area restaurants, and alcoholic beverages. There will be a silent auction throughout the night and a live auction. Tickets are $50 in advance and can be purchased at the Gleason Family YMCA or online at ymcasouthcoast.org. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $55.

Saturday, Sept. 28
Think history.

The Rochester Historical Society will host an exhibit opening, bake sale and yard sale giveaway from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum’s new exhibit “Rochester’s Notable People — Past and Present” will be on display. The Historical Society will also hold a bake sale, and give away the last items from its yard sale on a first-come, first-served basis.

Celebrate fall.

The Knights of Columbus will host a new Fall Festival on Sept. 28 and 29 at the organization’s hall. The festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. There will be entertainment all day, beer and wine, craft booths, raffles, fire trucks and police cars and food.

Hear about art.

Marion artist Nancy Dyer Mitton and New York City artist Robert Seyffert have had an exhibit on display at the Marion Art Center. As the exhibit wraps up, Seyffert will give a talk at 11 a.m.

Monday, Sept. 29
Golf for a cause.

Southcoast YMCA will hold a its 25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Kittansett Club on Sept. 30. The golf tournament will begin at noon with a shotgun start and last until 6 p.m.
