Hear a capella.

Tabor Academy’s Madrigals concert will include select choirs singing a cappella in Wickenden Chapel (86 Spring Street, Marion) at 7 p.m.

Saturday, May 18

Yard Sale Shop.

The Friends of the Mattapoisett Council on Aging, will be having a yard sale at the Council on Aging on Barstow Street. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a rain date on May 19th.

Get tech help.

Tabor Academy will host a free technology help session at its Hayden Library on Saturday, May 18, from 9:30 to 11: 30 a.m.

The New Bedford Art Mobile will be at the Elizabeth Taber Library on May 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with crafts for kids.

Participate politically.

The Democratic Town Committee will hold its caucus on Saturday, May 18 at the Rochester Town Hall from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

Drink tea.

The Rochester Senior Center Friends will host a tea party on May 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. Bring aunts, daughters, sisters, or grandchildren, and a favorite mug. Call the Senior Center to reserve a spot.

See prom gowns.

The Old Rochester Regional High School will host its Junior Prom from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

Sunday, May 19

Walk your dog.

The Buzzards Bay Coalition will host a dog walk at the Bogs (138 Acushnet Road) from 10 to 11 a.m.

Walk in Marion. 

The Sippican Lands Trust will host a five-mile, two-hour walk in Aucoot Woods  1 p.m. Participants will depart from the information kiosk at the Sippican Lands Trust White Eagle property.

B.A. Shapiro, the author of “The Muralist,” the One Book, Tri-town book club book, will visit the Mattapoisett Library at 2 p.m.

Think James Taylor.

October Road, a James Taylor tribute band, will have a concert at the Marion Music Hall from 1 to 3 p.m.

Monday, May 20

Hear more Tabor music.

On May 20, instrumental music students will give a recital of pieces they have prepared individually at 6:30 p.m. in Lyndon South Auditorium.

Tuesday, May 21

Learn about food.

On May 21 Barbara Canuel, RD, will present on the Mediterranean diet. The presentation will take place at 10 a.m at the Rochester Senior Center, and requires a reservation.

Talk books.

On May 21 at 10:15 a.m. the Rochester Council on Aging Bookclub will discuss “The Pilot’s Wife.”

Wednesday, May 22

Laugh for health.

Marion resident Doug Savage will lead a laughter session at the Elizabeth Taber Library at 6 p.m.

Thursday, May 23

Learn to fish. 

The Buzzards Bay Coalition will host a freshwater fishing lecture for interested anglers of all ages at Mary’s Pond in Rochester from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Equipment is provided. Call (508) 999-6363 ext. 219 for more information.
