“The Glass Menagerie” production

MARION — The Marion Art Center is putting on a production of Tennesse Williams’ timeless play “The Glass Menagerie,” directed by Donn Tyler.

Performances will take place from June 27 to June 29. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday show is at 2 p.m.

Admission is $20 for Marion Art Center members and $23 for non-members. Tickets are available at marionartcenter.org/events.

Oliver Asker, Tim Moynihan, Cher Sauter and Eva Watts-Pine star in the show.

The show will take place at the Marion Art Center at 80 Pleasant Street.

Saturday, June 28

“June in Bloom” garden tour

MATTAPOISETT — Stop and smell the roses at the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club biennial “June in Bloom” garden tour on Saturday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The location of the gardens will not be revealed until the day of the tour due to security purposes.

They are also available for purchase at the following locations in Mattapoisett: Pen and Pendulum, Isabelle’s, Ying Dynasty and the Town Wharf General Store. In Fairhaven, tickets can be purchased at Periwinkes and Gotta Have It. Tickets can also be found in Marion shops, such as Always in Bloom, Fieldstones and Eden Florist.

On the day of the tour, $40 tickets will be available for purchase at the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club tent next to Ying’s Dynasty on Route 6. This tour is rain or shine.

5th annual NolanFest

MARION — To celebrate the life of departed young musician Nolan Gibbons, the Nolan Gibbons Memorial Fund is hosting its 5th Annual NolanFest on Saturday, June 28 at Silvershell Beach from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Attendees can enjoy live performances, food trucks and vendor booths at the event, in addition to a raffle and a ukulele tent.

The event is free and also serves as a fundraiser for the memorial fund, which awards scholarships to young artists.

Nolan passed away in 2020 at the age of 15 from Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood. He was an accomplished young musician who toured the country with Acapop! KIDS, a national youth a cappella choir formed by the Grammy-Award winning group Pentatonix.
