Mattapoisett Recreation is hosting a Tiki beach party complete with a sandcastle contest, hotdogs, and exotic drinks.

The event will be at the Mattapoisett Town Beach on Saturday, June 22, from noon to 4 p.m.

For the sandcastle building contest, register as a family, a group, or as an individual. Registration can be done at the Mattapoisett Library or online at Mattapoisett Recreation's page on www.mattapoisett.net. Prizes will be awarded. Please bring your own tools and building materials.

The Lions Club will grill hot dogs and the library will bring exotic summer drinks.

The rain day is June 29.
