After being closed to traffic for more than a year, Tinkham Bridge on Acushnet Road is once again open.

There is still some work to be done, including the addition of sidewalks along the new culvert, but the road is again safe for travel.

Last fall, the century-old bridge on the edge of Tinkham Pond was deemed unfit for travel, forcing the town to close it while a design plan and permits were approved. A new culvert was cast and finally installed this month.
