Tri-town runners make way through 'monsoon' Marathon
Twelve tri-town runners are letting their hair down (hopefully to give it a chance to dry) after completing the 2018 Boston Marathon on April 16.
The day was cold and wet; sheets of rain fell over the 26.2 mile course. The rain didn't stop 26,948 runners from turning out for the Marathon, 25,746 of whom finished the entire course.
"It was the toughest run of my life!" said Sippican School teacher Nicole Boussy, who completed her third Boston Marathon in 4:27:36. "I had so much support, I couldn't stop. Even if there was a monsoon during my run!"
Other tri-town residents fared well in the race. Rochester resident Roy Dasilva was the quickest of all the tri-town runners, crossing the finish line in 3:18:44. He was closely followed by Marion's Brent Elkins, who finished the race in 3:21:48.
