A trip to Bird Island

Kids in the Marion Natural History Museum’s fall program explored Bird Island and shore life there with a little help from the Marion Harbormaster Department.

Last week, the group explored the island after the birds had moved on for the winter. Kids searched for eggs, bones and nesting material. At the top of the lighthouse they took in views of Cape Cod and the canal rail bridge.
