Post-tropical cyclone Lee, formerly categorized as a hurricane, passed by the Tri-Town and the rest of the South Coast from Friday evening into Saturday morning. As of 11:17 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, all tropical storm warnings have been dropped by the National Weather Service for southern New England.

Cape Cod and Islands can still expect wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour. A high surf warning is still in place the Massachusetts and Rhode Island coasts.

According to Mattapoisett Harbormaster Isaac Perry, preparations for Lee were a “good practice run,” and the weather should remain stable for the rest of the day.
