Two candidates vie for a seat on the Board of Health

Imcumbent Michele Bernier (photo by Brandy Muz) and Douglas Schneider (source: Cape and Islands Engineering website) are vying for one seat on the Board of Health.
MATTAPOISETT — Two names will appear on the ballot for one Board of Health seat in the upcoming Mattapoisett town election, which will be held on Tuesday, May 20.
Douglas Schneider, who has been involved in the development business with a focus on residential for the past 40 years, is running against incumbent Michele Bernier who is running for a second term because she has “a few irons in the fire” and would like to see them to fruition.
The election will be held at the Old Hammondtown School, with polls open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
