Upcoming programs at the Marion Art Center

MARION — The Marion Art Center will hold multiple programs and classes in the coming months, including watercolor painting and piano lessons. 

On Saturday, Dec. 22, the MAC will host a concert by the Putnam Murdock Trio beginning at 7:30 p.m. Putnam Murdock will play the guitar and do the vocals, Barry Gross is on the bass and also contributing to the vocals, and Colin Bradley on the pedal steel. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets will be available in person, by phone, or online at marionartcenter.org. Tickets will be $18 for MAC members and $20 for non-members. 

MAC winter classes will also be starting soon.

Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Beginning and Continuing Watercolor Painting will be held from Nov. 29 to Jan. 24. 

Continuing and Advanced Watercolor Painting will also be held on Fridays from Nov. 30 to Jan. 18, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Painting Expressive Landscapes with Acrylics will take place Saturdays from Dec. 1 to Jan. 26, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Winter Songwriting Series for ages 10 to 17  will take place on Saturdays from Jan. 19 to March 2, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Private Piano Lessons for beginners and intermediate-level players, age 6 to adult, with take place Sunday afternoons starting on Jan. 13.
