Three people were transported to Tobey Hospital on Friday following an accident involving two cars on I-195 near the Marion/Rochester exit.

State Troopers, Marion police, and Marion EMTs responded to the scene shortly after 3 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from one of the passengers in the cars, said State Trooper Todd Nolan.

Rhode Island residents Glenda Delfino, 61, and Paulette Ferland, 59, were transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained when their 2003 Honda rolled over. The Honda was recovered from the treeline along the eastbound side of the highway.

New Bedford resident Joshua Marshall, 33, was driving the second car, a 2007 Toyota Camry. Marshall was also treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A summons has been issued for Marshall for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, Nolan said.

State Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
