Dec 9, 2016

Three people were involved in a rollover on 195 East in Marion around 9:45 a.m. on Friday morning, and the driver, 20-year-old David Hill of Wareham, now faces several charges.

The other two occupants were 18 and 19 years old.

All in the car were able to get out of the maroon Yukon, which landed on its side in the median. According to the police and EMS broadcast, one person was moving in and out of consciousness. It is believed that the other two people had non-life threatening injuries. All three were transported to hospitals. Further information about their conditions is unknown.

According to State Police, Hill will be charged with operating on a revoked or suspended license, negligent operation of a vehicle and speeding. There was already a warrant out for him.

Marion and Mattapoisett Fire, Police and EMS responded to the scene as did the State Police.

Shortly thereafter at 10:25 a.m., another accident occurred nearby when one car rear-ended another, sending the front car into the woods. Both drivers and one passenger were transported to Tobey Hospital.

Friday's crashes were in the vicinity of another accident that occurred last Thursday less than a mile away. In that accident, a 75-year-old Cotuit man rolled his pickup truck into the median.
