Warren Environmental promises pipe improvement for Marion

Feb 8, 2017

Danny Warren of Warren Environmental Inc. told Selectmen on Tuesday that his pipe lining product can save aging and corroded pipes.

“What makes us unique is we don’t use any solvents ever,” said Warren, noting the product is safe and odorless.

The spray-on liners, he said, have been used all over the country and internationally and garnered awards and media attention. A Carver-based business, Warren has worked for the Town of Wareham as well as UMass Dartmouth. He said the product can save customers money, for one, because it can eliminate the need to replace pipes.

He said the alternative, companies using harmful chemicals, is unsafe.

“It smells like you’re burning fiberglass,” he said. “It’ll literally take the skin off of you.”

Warren said he will do a few man holes for free so the town can see how well his product work.

“We’re here to help and we would like to help,” he said. “We can do your work, no ifs, ands or buts.”

Jody Dickerson said the town’s water, sewer and drainage systems have issues with infiltration and inflow.

He added, “We’ve had a lot of cracks over the years, water seeping in.”

No decisions were made at the meeting, but further discussion is expected.
