Lower Barstow Road, from Water Street to Church Street, is currently under construction as the town replaces an aged water main.

Work began on Oct. 24 and is likely to continue until the end of December.

The replacement will result in fewer water main breaks.

During construction, trash pickup in the area may be as early at 7:15 a.m. to prevent traffic congestion.

No water outages are planned.

Those visiting the library are asked to park at Town Wharf, if possible. Those who cannot walk the distance may park in the library's lot via the Inn on Shipyard Park's parking lot.
