The Mattapoisett Recreation Department will be hosting sign-ups for the basketball program on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Old Hammondtown elementary.

For grades one and two: An instructional basketball course concentrating on the basic skills and fundamentals of the game using drills and scrimmaging. The course will take place Saturday mornings from at 11 a.m. to noon at the ORRHS gym starting Jan. 14. Cost is $70.

Grades three through six: All players make one of the teams and play equal time. Games will be held weeknights and with practices during the weekend. Grades three and four will be separate from grades five and six. Siblings at the same grade levels will be placed on the same team. Cost is $90.
