MARION — A coven of witches took to Sippican Harbor on Monday, Oct. 9 for a wicked paddle at approximately 9 a.m. 

“Salem is on the North Shore,” shouted one passing boater while the Marion witches floated off Island Wharf. 

According to Bonnie Kirchner, who took to the sea in a pointed hat and witch cape, this outing was just for fun and not affiliated with any organization. 

“We were out for a bit over an hour and crossed the harbor paying respects to various boats being hauled this week,” said Kirchner “We encountered a wicked crew aboard a boat across the harbor who provided coffee, donuts, and chocolate. The wind picked up around then and we started losing hats so decided to go back in and enjoy lunch at Kate's.”
