The rain held off for the annual Mother's Day Tiara Classic Road Race on Sunday with a children's fun run and a 5K through Mattapoisett.

Taylor Days-Merrill of Fairhaven took the overall fastest time with 16:57. Selena Scott came in first among the female runners and third overall with a 20:26 time.

The event started and ended at Oxford Creamery, where participants could get their faces painted and get snacks before and after the race.

All proceeds made from registration fees and donations will benefit the Womens' Fund, which works with women along the South Coast.
