'Young Peoples' Concert' by the Marion Concert Band
The Marion Concert Band continues its Friday evening concert series with a Young People's Concert on Friday, July 21 at the Marion Bandstand. The program, which will include a storyteller and the opportunity for children in the audience to "guest conduct" the band, is as follows:

Mary St. Laurent-Sheehan is an alumnus of the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra (1992) and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where she performed with the Parris Island Marine Band. Zachary Roberts, trumpet, is a graduate of Rhode Island College, holding a bachelors degree in music education. He performs regularly with the St. Cecilia Band of Fall River in the pit orchestras of local theater companies. He has been a member of the Marion Concert Band since 2015.
The concert, under the direction of Tobias Monte, will begin at 7:00 at the Robert Broomhead Bandstand, Island Wharf off Front Street in Marion. All concerts are free and open to the public. "Like" us on Facebook at "Marion Town Band" for up-to-date announcements and rain cancellation notices.
