Celebrate Independence Day by running the 44th annual Mattapoisett Road Race, a 5-mile run held in the village. The race begins at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 4.

Registration is open. Mail-in registration is $20 and is June 22. Online registration is $15 and due June 24. Runners can also register at Shipyard Park for $20 July 3 from 5 to7:30 p.m. or on the day of the race for $25.
