I am writing as a life-long resident of Marion and as co-author of the Marion Wetlands Report of 1973 in support of the petition to transfer management of Sprague's Cove to the Open Space Acquisition Commission.

I believe that the Open Space Commission is well qualified for this assignment in view of the fact that the Conservation Commission failed to prevent the destruction of vegetation adjacent to the Cove including rosa rugosa and willow, etc. in the fall of 2012 and subsequently failed to protect further destruction of the this valuable resource.
