ORR students participate in pumpkin carving competition

After school on Tuesday, Oct. 28, the halls of Old Rochester Regional High School smelled of pumpkin during the second annual AFS Club Pumpkin Carving Competition.

More than 50 students of all grades and levels of artistic talent got into the Halloween spirit. Participants worked individually or in teams to carve and paint their pumpkins.

Around 30 crafted pumpkins are now competing to place in categories like best overall, best effort, most creative, cutest and scariest.

Winners were announced on Tuesday. Results are below.

Best overall: Charlotte Levine

Most creative: Evelyn Farias

Cutest: Hannah Powers

Scariest: Holly Frink
