Jay Ryan's watercolors to be exhibited at Marion Art Center

The Marion Art Center will hold an exhibition of watercolors by artist Jay Ryan titled “Studio Puddles and Successive Approximations.”

Ryan paints almost every day in Fairhaven studio and said he favors watercolor “for its puddles, for its light, for its successive approximations of what I see, and for how it allows me to share those visions with others.”

A reception honoring the artist, who is the former principal of Rochester Memorial School, will be held Friday, March 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. The show will run until April 18.

The Marion Art Center is located at 80 Pleasant St. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
