A car accident near the corner of Point Road and Route 6 on Monday knocked out power in the immediate area and left one car totaled.

Not much is known about the accident, except that a woman hit an electrical pole early in the afternoon. It is unclear what caused her to veer into the pole.

Several people watched from the road, but none had seen the accident, which deployed the woman's airbag.

Marion police, EMS and fire were on the scene.
