Rochester town election is today!
The Rochester annual town election is today. Polling is from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Senior Center, 67 Dexter Lane.
There is one contested race for a seat on the Board of Selectmen. Incumbent Bradford Morse and former Selectman Michael Murphy are vying for the position. Read more about them here and here.
The other candidates are as follows:
Incumbent Jeffrey Eldridge for highway surveyor; incumbent Diana Sherman Knapp for Board of Assessors; incumbent Glenn Lawrence for Board of Health; Lori Souza for Cemetery Commission; incumbent Richard Charon for Water Commission; incumbent David Hughes and Lorne Estabrook for two Constable positions; incumbent David Hughes for Park Commission; incumbents Dennis Desrosiers and Winston Sharples for two places on the Library Trustees; incumbents Lee Carr and Gary Florindo for Planning Board; incumbent Sharon Hartley for Rochester School Committee; and Cary Humphrey for ORR School Committee.
The results of the collection will be posted tonight after polls close.
