Changes ahead for Rochester Country Fair

Jan 27, 2017

The 18th Annual Rochester Country Fair will take place Friday, Aug. 18 through Sunday, Aug. 20. One of the biggest changes this year is that the fair will be held over the course of three days instead of four.

Several headline events have been moved to operate more efficiently and cost effectively so that other improvements to the fairgrounds can be made. Plans currently include an expanded children's area, volleyball and cornhole tournament area and new static displays throughout the fairgrounds.

The Woodsman Show will move from Sunday to Friday night in the main arena.

Saturday has a full agenda with activities for all ages, including the return of the antique and modified tractor pulls and live professional wrestling.

On Sunday, there will be truck pulls along with mega trucks, go kart and quarter sprint car racing and garden tractor drags. The live auction will take place under the main tent, with cow chip bingo and new entertainment in the main arena

There will be more updates in coming months.
