Tri-town Libraries are Full STEAM Ahead for School Vacation Week

Science, technology, math, and engineering fun are front and center at each of the tri-town public libraries during school vacation week, beginning April 18th.  Add some art activities and students and parents will find there is something for everyone.

The Elizabeth Taber Library is featuring Lego building all week for young engineers to drop in and have fun with the library's Lego collection. Leave creations on display to inspire others!

The Plumb Memorial Library's STEAMcation welcomes children ages 3 -6 to hear a story then work with the Junior Friends of the Plumb Library on various projects. All sessions are 10:30 to 11:30 am, except for Thursday, April 20, which is 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Register for one or more of the following"

Tuesday, April 18: Science (Experimenting, Observng, Collecting)

Wednesday, April 19: Technology (Tools and Creating)

Thursday, April 20: Engineering (Designing, Building)

Friday, April 21: Math (Shapes, Sizes, Patterns)

Mini Makers will meet Saturday, April 15th from 11 am to noon, with the assistance of the Junior Friends of the Library. Toddlers through pre-schoolers are invited for Science, Tech, Engineering, Math and Art activities and lots of fun. Register your child by calling 508-758-4171 or stop by the children's department.

Tuesday, April 18th from from 2 to 3 pm, sign up to Make Some Slime! Learn the science of slime, and make & take four different recipes. For ages 8 and up.

Friday, April 21: All ages are welcome to enjoy the film "Fern Gully: The Last Rainforest" in celebration of Earth Day. Free screening. Popcorn will be served.

Drop-in crafts and poetry activities, in celebration of Poetry Month, are available every day. Enjoy your school vacation with the public library!
