Mattapoisett Firefighters climb 110 stories for 9/11

Five Mattapoisett Firefighters participated in a 110-story stair climb on Sept. 17 in honor of the 343 Fire Department of New York firefighters killed on September 11, 2001.
The climb was in Portland, Maine and the firefighters climbed the stairs in full structural firefighting gear. The climb was sponsored by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Each participating firefighter was assigned a fallen FDNY firefighter’s accountability tag with their name and picture.
Participants from Mattapoisett were Lt. Justin Dubois, Bill Oliver, Justin Blue, Silas Costa and Joseph Tripp.
