Nobody was injured but a car was left in flames after an accident occurred in Marion on October 14.

Mattapoisett firefighters were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Route 6,  in front of 7-11. On arrival, one of the vehicles was found to be fully engulfed in fire.

All passengers were able to exit the vehicles involved, and no injuries were reported. The patients were treated by Mattapoisett EMS as well as Marion Fire and Marion EMS.

Route 6 was shut down for a period of time by Marion and Rochester Police, while firefighters extinguished the fire and cleaned up hazards.
