Author and "The New Yorker" staff editor Mary Norris will speak at the library on Friday, December 1 at 6 p.m. Norris is visiting the library as part of the "Purrington Series" sponsored by the Mattapoisett Library Trust.

Her recent book, "Between You and Me: Confessions of a Comma Queen," will be available for purchase and signing. A reception for Norris will follow the lecture.
