Thank you for making the community aware of this work. Bike safety is only one aspect of safely sharing the roads. The Governors Highway Safety Association recently reported that funding and effort spent on bicycle and pedestrian safety is reducing all traffic collisions and deaths. Better engineering of roads and intersections, better application and enforcement of laws, and greater commitment to education about sharing roads safely are the keys to reducing crashes and injuries. More biking and walking is good for our health, our economy and our planet. In these, the darker months of the year, please consider lights and bright clothing as gift options for those you love.
