Friends Academy Wins Regional Math Counts Competition, Headed to States

Friends Academy is so excited to have won the MathCounts Regional Competition!
Local students Pearl Mallick, Teddy Carroll, Mia Shih, and Gillian Foley have all advanced to the State Finals which will occur at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston on March 3rd.
In addition to finishing in first place, we have the following individuals who placed in the top 25%:
8th Place - Gillian Foley
11th Place - Pearl Mallick
18th Place - Teddy Carroll
There were 14 schools and approximately 120 students overall in the competition.
The MATHCOUNTS Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides engaging math programs to middle school students of all ability levels in order to build confidence and improve attitudes towards math and problem solving.
