Family fun at our touch-a-truck on Saturday April 28th, 12pm-2pm, at the Gleason Family YMCA for Healthy Kids Day. A.D. Makepeace will bring over several pieces of cranberry harvesting equipment, Wareham Ford will bring over a vehicle, Wareham Fire Dept. truck, and the Dept. of Natural Resources will bring over some equipment. This FREE community event will also feature: a finger printing station by the Plymouth County Sheriff's Dept., Fly casting demo from LL Bean, a K9 demo from the Plymouth County Sheriff's Dept., healthy eating information from the UMass Extension Nutrition Education program, recycling by Wareham Recycling program, animal identification and education with a Ranger from Myles Standish State Forest, a Buzzards Bay Coalition table, and a representative from Plymouth County Teacher's Federal Credit Union, bounce house, pickle ball demo and more. For parents with infants or small children in car seats- we have a certified car seat technician from WFD who will check you car seats for proper installation in your vehicle. A membership special will also be available during Healthy Kids Day, so stop by to see what is happening at the Gleason Family YMCA this Saturday.
