A Mattapoisett resident was charged with possession with the intent to distribute drugs after he was pulled over by police on June 1.

Mattapoisett Police stopped a car traveling on County Road for unregistered, uninsured and unattached plates on June 1. The traffic stop led to the arrest of passenger James Sylvia, 18, of Mattapoisett.

Sylvia has quantities of Xanax pills, LSD, MDMA (Ecstasy), cocaine, marijuana, two scales and $1,206 in his possession at the time of the vehicle stop.

He was charged with possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, possession of Class E substance with intent to distribute, and possession of Class D substance with intent to distribute.
