MARION — The Sippican Lands Trust is hosting a walking tour of its radio tower property on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 10 a.m.

Local historian Dick Evans will give a brief talk about the property before the walk. The site was once one of the largest telegraph stations in the world, but the transmitting equipment has since been removed.

The trail for the radio tower property is accessible from Benson Brook Road, past the Marion Transfer Station. Parking is available in the area, but space is limited.

Participants should gather near the Sippican Lands Trust kiosk at the head of the trail. 

The event is free and no registration is required.
